Cooking Instructions for Delicious Burgers

Your choice of ground meat and seasoning

This is a guideline to cooking Burgers.  Please feel free to use your favorite seasoning or recipe.

1. Heat the skillet over medium heat and add your burgers.  Be sure not to overcrowd the burgers.  They will stick to the pan, just like in a grill.  Do not try to move or turn the burgers.

2. Give them time to cook and when you see the juices starting to escape, gently loosen the burgers and turn them over.

3. Follow the same instructions for the other side.  Once both sides have been nicely seared, if you are using one of the skillets with a lid you can put the lid on and create the vapor-seal.  Turn burner to lowest setting.

4. Burgers will continue to cook and steam in their own juices.  You can opt not to use lid.  Suggested cooking estimated times are 3 minutes for rare, 4 minutes for medium and 5 or more minutes for well done.  Make sure to cook thoroughly according to food safety guidelines.

Tips:  If you would like to add grilled onions or mushrooms with your burger they can be cooked in the pan the same time as the burger once both sides have been seared.

If using lid, remove and add your favorite cheese to the burgers.  Cover for a few seconds and the cheese will melt perfectly!
